Mugshot of Bird

Incident

At 2:13 AM on the morning of Friday, November 21, Joliet police responded to a call complaining of an individual burning tires on the corner of Richards St. and Joliet Ave. Upon arrival, the responding officers observed Bird sitting on a lawn chair, drinking malt liquor, several feet away from a pile of burning tires.

Bird was apprehended without incident, and booked on charges of public intoxication, violation of ordinances prohibiting tire burning, trespassing, inciting a riot, illegal dumping, operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license, operating a vehicle displaying license plates that have been reported stolen, possession of stolen property whose value totals less than $100, and a noise ordinance violation. Bird's van, known as the "Sidepipe Wagon" was impounded and as of July 2015, the origin or any details about the van are unresolved as the defaced VIN made such investigation impossible. The van was later released to Bird.
