Trabajo Bone is a heavy metal/hard rock band that incorporates elements of Norteño music and heavily leans into skull and biker imagery.

Origin of Name

Carl Bird, who was a member of the band when it was called "Varios Barrios", found himself in over his head, as all of the other members were serious musicians and Bird has questionable musical skills at best. Ramón "Matador" Villaseñor, lead guitarist, who has reportedly referred to Bird as both a "pendejo" and an "assclown", tried to make Bird learn at least one song all the way through. Bird, who has a very limited understanding of Spanish despite trying to join a Spanish-language band, told Villaseñor:

You're gonna trabajo me to the bone, comprende?

Villaseñor is quoted as saying "We had only been playing for about 15 minutes at that point, and half of that was getting him in tune. But I realized, 'Trabajo Bone', there is something there. That's got to be the band name. Our current name fucking sucks."
