== About ~~the Carl Bird Universe ==~~

The Carl Bird Universe is an interconnected fictional world centered on degenerates, crappy musicians, overconfident hustlers, local-and-staying-that way wrestlers, zealous security guards, slightly racist promoters, and other fixtures of mid-America mediocrity and unmet expectations.

At its center is Carl Bird, who has been described as "Big Bird's older, meaner cousin with a prison record". Carl is a reprobate habitual offender with a criminal rap sheet the length of Long Island whose sheer luck (and lifelong free legal help from an indebted lawyer) has more-or-less kept him out of very serious trouble.

Carl's world includes bands such as Redline, Chorbo and Trabajo Bone, promoters such as Darnell Watson and Zutroy Zagreb, lounge entertainers such as Tony Bulsara, attorney/fixers such as Tony "No Nose" Catellini, security personnel such as Mike Jorpa, and shameless shysters such as Larry W. Cashdollar.

~~Recurring themes include:~~

* Petty crime

* Small-time scams

* Shifty lawyers

* Failed attempts at earning an honest living

* Disputes in parking lots

* Violent altercations

* Businesses that probably should not exist

~~This wiki documents both major continuity and the deeply unnecessary details.~~

Trabajo Bone is a Mexican-American glam/norteño heavy metal band known for distorted accordion, shredding guitar work, cowboy boots, leather, chrome, and an overwhelming commitment to skull imagery.

~~The band's logo consists of stylized bones arranged into the words TRABAJO BONE and a skull logo in the center of the "O" in "BONE".~~

Read the full article →

Beef Drain was a short-lived rock band from the Chicago area that was signed to Orange Van Records. They played what they styled as "hard Southern rock", which was reportedly three-chord blues rock with frequent references to underage girls. The band is known to have performed twice, only one of which was documented in any capacity.
